well, kind of. this isn’t the actual birth or anything. we stop the camera slightly before, and resume slightly after the actual event. this one is kind of lengthy (about 9 min). i tried to edit it down and i’m sure there’s a lot more that i could have cut out, but i just thought all the footage worked, so forgive me my epic feature film moment. without further adieu…
jana and the children have left me for spokane. it was really sad to see them go and has been hard to be away. i still have 4 more weeks of training here before i get to be there with them. i made this little photo-video collage to celebrate our time here in auburn. i hope you enjoy it. the first song is by the racontours and the 2nd one is by band of horses. check them both out. i’ll add links to the songs later.
i almost didn’t post this movie. i thought it was pretty good but when i showed it to jana, she informed me (after a few moments of silence) that it wasn’t one of my better pieces. so, i sat on it for a couple of weeks and am deciding to put it up regardless. how do you like that, jana?
some friends of ours have created a new childrens show called “yo gabba gabba” and lily is bonkers for it. the show is SO good. hopefully it will get picked up by someone. here is a clip of her watching it.
so, we were asked to play this stake “featured artists” thing. they asked us to play whatever we wanted for 10-15 minutes. we taped the event for the sake of posterity. it was pretty cool. i wish the video were better. my camera was just on a tri-pod but my friend also brought his camera to catch some cool angles, but before we went on, someone rolled over it with a food cart and now it’s broken. total bummer. i was going to do some multi-camera shots and make it all cool and professional, but i guess it just wasn’t in the cards. Heat Vision and Jack was created as a 1999 pilot for Fox. Written by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, directed by Ben Stiller, this series was passed over by Fox despite critical acclaim from those who’ve been lucky enough to see it.
The 30 minute pilot is about an astronaut (played by Jack Black) with a medical secret who is on the run from the evil Ron Silver and the rest of NASA, with the help of a talking motorcycle called Heat Vision (voiced by Owen Wilson).
i add my sentiments to this as i’ve watched this 30 minute episode and it was one of the funnier things i’ve ever seen that never made it to t.v. if you’re not sure as to whether or not you want to spend the time, just think: ben stiller, owen wilson, and jack black. need i say more?
this is just one of the funniest saturday night live commercials i’ve ever seen.

that’s the good stuff. Read more…
man, i’m seriously bad about updating this site. i’ve really been busy lately. it’s a bummer that it’s taken me so long to put anything up here, and then when i do, it’s just a video of one of our dogs. i feel like it makes us look like total “dog people”. don’t get me wrong, i love my dogs, but i don’t have any pictures of them on any piece of my clothing. i haven’t yet crossed that boundary. but, when i do, you’ll be the first to know. i do want one of those shirts with a wolf on it though. something with a real heavy indian theme. maybe a dreamcatcher or two. that would be cool.
