asher gets a highchair
my little ashman hasn’t had a highchair since we moved to seattle. we couldn’t fit it in our moving truck so it was left a grandmas house in spokane. since we have been here asher has either been held or sat in his little rocking chair while he ate, it has been a huge pain. well, this weekend i finally got steven to put our kitchen table together and i got out our travel highchair. as you can see, ash was extremely happy.
a big sucker
on saturday we took the kids to the seattle children’s museum. when we were getting ready to leave lily was given one of those amazingly large blowpops. she couldn’t wait to eat it but we made her wait until she got home because i didn’t want a sticky mess in her carseat. so, when we got home she sat at her little table for like an hour and a half one lick at a time. she was kind enough to share with jackson so here are the pics.
the ash man
i thought this was really funny. lily and jack were playing outside
and asher wanted out with them in the worst way. he just sat at the
slider and watched and begged to go out. it was really quite sweet to
see him wanting to play with his brother and sister.
my little ash man has finally started sitting up. all three of
my children have been late sitters and he has finally caught on.
is he not the cutest baby you have seen?
how do you answer…
lily is quite the conversationalist. the other night i took the kids to the book store and on the way lily was questioning me about Heavenly Father and Jesus. she told me that she missed them and that she was glad that they gave her a body. she also wanted to know when they were going to put a baby in her body, since of course, that is how they get there. she then proceeded to ask me the unanswerable question, “mommy, who made Heavenly Father and Jesus’ bodies?” what do i say to that? i am so impressed with her ability to think things through. we are quite sure that she will be our scholastic child. that is not to say that the boys wont be scholastic but, i know that she will.
lily is going through withdraws since leaving spokane because she doesn’t go to school anymore. everyday she tells me mommy, i miss going to school. i have her signed up for school starting in september but all of the schools are full for the rest of the school year. i feel sorry for her because i know that she is getting bored which is why her a jack are fighting over everything. i am going to try and see if the community center has something for her or something. she really needs to get out of the house.
i am so grateful to be here in seattle. i know that it is going to be crazy for a while but in the end, i think it will be worth it. Heavenly Father can see the picture a bit better than i can so i will just trust that everything will work out and it will.
together
lily, jack and ash are quite the team lately. they love to spend time playing and just hanging out with one another. now that ash is a little more sturdy, he tries to do everything that they do. he wants to be with them all of the time. when he wakes up from a nap both lily and jack can’t wait to get him out of his bed or get in with him.
i thought that this picture of lily and jack in the bath was really funny. they could not be built more different.
this was a little ball tent that jack got for christmas and it was popped within 1 hour of blowing it up.
asher likes to hold hands and i think it is cute that in both pictures he is trying to hold lily’s. she loves it of course because she just can’t get enough of him. i will indulge her now because in about six months when he is getting into all of her stuff she will not be as amused.
my children like to eat
i am not really sure why i took pictures of my children eating but i did so here they are. the one of asher is him eating his first cheese. he really liked it! lily and jackson were eating some pumpkin cheesecake that i made and were really enjoying themselves as well.
i am grateful that jackson is such a good eater. most days i have such a struggle getting lily to eat things that when i can give jackson salad and he eats it i feel so fortunate. i never thought that food would be one of my biggest battles so it makes me extremely grateful when i don’t have to fight someone to get them to eat. i pray that asher is like jackson when it comes to food. i would be happy if he had a little less of jackson’s energy but would be thrilled if he got his eating abilities.
jackson growing up
my little boy has finally moved into a big boy toddler bed. i was worried that he would be getting up all of the time but once we put him to bed or down for a nap he doesn’t get up until he is done sleeping. when he wakes up he yells, “i want to get up now!” and then all i have to say is “ok, come downstairs then” and down he comes. it is so fun to see him growing up. it was really hard getting him to sit still for the pictures so these are what i was left with. enjoy!
